Cruz

I am from Guanajuato, Mexico and have been here for 27 years. I have been working as a farm worker for most of that time. I came from a small village and the poverty was very bad so I came here to have a better life. The majority of the people that come here start in the field and some stay and some don’t. I have 3 children. My life is here in the US. I have nothing in Mexico.

I bring food to the table. Every person counts so I count too. Everybody is important and everybody does their share to contribute.

I want a good life for my kids. I belong to a bible study group and they meet together and they have a community, that way of faith, and that’s kind of my hope, my grounding. I am a good Catholic and I just want to lead a quiet life and not be in trouble and just work.
