Farmers

We arrived in the United States on March 17, 2005. We immediately began working as farmers in the artichoke, broccoli, and strawberry fields. In 2016 we took the ALBA course, which trained us to form our own agricultural business at the end of 2017. In November 2020, we became Kitchen Table Advisor customers. They helped us market our produce. Thanks to their help, we can continue to learn how to run our business.

We think that our most important contribution is that our business grows food for the community. We are small, but we also offer job opportunities for people in our community.

Our dream is to buy a house, to own land, and to keep growing more vegetables and to have the documentation/permits to visit our parents in Mexico. There is a lot of nostalgia for our childhood. It is always in the mind of one to go, but the fear of not being able to return is stronger. Our children, the business, everything is here. They go to school here. To leave everything??? …. how to go to Mexico and to return, so as not to lose everything?…

We would like them to permit us to be here and to be able to go visit our families in Mexico, especially our parents, hug them and then be able to return calmly, to continue working here.
